1st aid kits
What else should I put in my first aid kit?!?!?1?
So in my first aid kit I have ...
- 2 leg wraps
- vet wrap
- SWAT - for scraps or cuts
- Temp taker
- Goss
- Hoof oil for cracked feet when it gets dry out.
What else should I have in my first aid kit?
-Lots of Gauze
-Iodine
-Tweezers
-Blunt-Tipped Scissors
-Thermometer (An adult horse's normal temp is around 99.0 and 101 degrees F)
-Stethoscope and a piece of paper (A heart-rate of 30-45 beats per minute is normal.)
-Horse wound salve (Fiskes is a amazing product! It's the only product I use on my horse)
-A old clean towel
-Clean sponges
-Thrush buster
-Liniment
-Instant hot and cold packs (The ones where you squeeze and shake)
-Therapeutic Ice Gel (You can get it for a dollar at most dollar stores. It's great for sprains and for overall lameness, just rub some on the tendon of the leg)
-Mineral Oil (Better then expensive hoof oil because it does not contain pine tar which is a sealant. It keeps the hooves hydrated while letting them breathe)
-Epsom Salts
-Topical Eye Ointment
-Anti bacterial soap
-Adhesive Elastic Bandage Tapes
-Latex Gloves
That's all I can think of for now...

I have one suggestion: after "affordable rates" add "starting at". That gives you flexibility to increase your rate depending on how much housework they are asking you to do.
The pricing is way too low for my area (southern CA, where babysitters can command $8-$10 an hour, even for only one child), but may be fine for yours. I doubt that it is too high for any part of the country.
