When is the biggest,most dangerous earthquake supossed to hit in California?

Nobody knows for certain. Geologists can tell approximately how often a large quake will strike a certain area, but they can't tell exactly when. The best current forecast consists of probability estimates for earthquakes of various sizes and locations over the next 30 years (see link). For example, the probability of a magnitude 6.7 or larger quake (Northridge sized and up) somewhere in California over the next 30 years is 99.7%.

And have we always had them here in uk,as I do not recall us having them,only one or two I can remember.And any one know the reasons why?
