bug out bag i am looking for a way to put a bag of water above the door to keeps flys out?
put water in a baggie and hang it over your door to keep flys (bugs) out of your house
Somebody on here just mentioned that. You just half or so fill a plastic bag and tie a cord around it and thumbtack it up. I've seen it work but the place had a lot of plastic bags hanging around. . .and no flies. . .and it was near a pier with lots of flies.
HEY I WAS WONDERING WHAT SHOULD I PUT IN MY BUG OUT BAG. WHAT SURVIVAL ITEMS.I ALREADY MADE A REALLY GOOD FIRST AID KIT.
I have actually had to bug out. From my experience the two most important, primary items for immediate human survival are water and a heat source. Everything else is secondary and can be limited due to size and storage limitations. That being said I am going to make lists in order of survival importance.
MUST HAVE: water purification kit, iodine tablets, water proof matches, cigarette lighters, magnifying glass, dryer lint in Zip lock bag (for fire tender), camel back pack to store all the previous items plus the water you purify along your journey of escape. Also a metal signal mirror for getting the attention of rescue aircraft or boats(make sure they are friendly, first) a loud whistle and a good pocket knife and tin cup.
HELPFUL TO HAVE: light weight tent, fishing line and hooks, light rope and line, slingshot, back pack, winter coveralls(use for a sleeping bag, in case you wake up in sudden danger you can escape fast to a distant location and after recon, return or track down your things later.
Any other items you carry might impede your escape. Bear in mind that stealth and the ability to move fast are imperitive. BE PREPARED TO JETTISON ANY THING THAT IMPAIRS MOBILITY.
