bug out bag what exactly are weevil bugs and how do you get rid of them?
i took out a bag of pasta from my pantry, and there were dozens of little bugs inside the bag. i researched a little, & im certain they are weevil bugs, but wt exactly are they and wat do they do?
aand how do u get rid of them??!?!
Weevils are often found in dry foods including nuts and seeds, cereal and grain products. In the domestic setting, they are most likely to be observed when opening a bag of flour although they will happily infest most types of grain including oats, barley and breakfast cereals. Their presence is often indicated by the granules of the infested item sticking together in strings, as if caught in a cobweb. If ingested, E. coli infection and other various diseases can be contracted from weevils, depending on their diet.
There is only one way to get rid of weevils, and that is to remove all infested products from your home. But prevention is better than a solution: to prevent weevils, firstly check the products in the store before you buy them. Secondly, store food in containers like screw top containers, and airtight containers. Don't just leave them in plastic wrappers! Only buy foods that you will use soon, so the weevils won't get a chance to settle and infest.
is there something I can cover myself with to keep out bugs?
okay I'm looking for something that I can cover myself with completely like a bubble to keep out any kind of bugs. I would be using this instead of a sleeping bag. And it needs to be light,foldable(to fit in a backpack, and breathable as I would be completely covered. Is there such a product?
I live in Alaska. In some places the no-see-ums are so small they can get through standard mosquito nets. And its maddening with clouds of bugs eating you alive I tried many products on the market and this works the best I have found;
They also sell pants and I wear gloves also, or cover my hands with 100% DEET.
I spent two weeks bear hunting and when I got home few believed I went at all. They asked why I didn’t have bug bites all over my face and body. That jacket works great! And you stay cool in it on a hot day, its worth every dime.
Oh I still bring my bottle of DEET and extra head net for back up but I seldom need it. You can go to sleep against a tree and get zero bug bites. I also tape the pant cuffs to my boots to keep everything out. If it can work in Alaska's muskeg swamps with trillions of bugs it will work anywhere.
I read an article that Nigeria is the happiest place on Earth. One of the most poorest countries is the happiest. I heard they have to work a full year just to afford 1 cheese burger from McDonald's.
The point of the article and the one I'm trying to make is, money does not = happiness. Actually, it seems like the richer you get, the unhappier you become.
It makes sense. Think about it… if you were rich, how would you know your friends liked you for who you are instead of how much money you had? How would you know your boyfriend/girlfriend loved you for you and not your bank account? Being poor makes that easy to tell.
It's like a blind person that marries what everyone sees as a visually ugly person. Blind people can't see so they visualize people by the quality of person they are. If someone is a jerk their ugly. If someone is polite, nice, and genuinely caring, they're beautiful.
It's not just relationships. Everything means more because you know you worked hard for it. A car you buy with your money means more than a car some one buys for you.
