I am putting a survival kit together and want to know if my next purchase should be a .22 or shotgun.?


I have a Remington rifle in .308 and a Smith and Wesson Sigma 9mm. Which would be the best to buy next. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks. Also, how much ammo would you have for each of the above?
Thank you all. I got some great answers I should have said I was in Colorado. The survival kit is a generic type kit. I don't know what problems may come up, local, regional, national or global but think being prepared is better than waiting till the last moment. Nothing may happen but who knows. If so, I want some way to protect my family. Thanks again.
My Sigma is the enhanced model ( 9VE) and it has worked flawlessly. No jams and good accuracy.

.22 rifle. Why? Weight. You can haul lots more 22 rounds than 12ga shotgun shells. Also a .22 has longer range.

Victoria Jackson Makeup set, is it a fake?


I just received a Victoria Jackson make-up set for Christmas. Its all made in China, does this mean its the fake stuff (as I read on another thread that the fact its made in China could mean its fake)? My mum bought the survival kit for £30 and with it came free the shimmer powder brush, the pocket palette and the lip gloss 12-piece set. Thanks!

    … honestly mate, if you want to get away from the rat race, couldn't you just find a job in the countryside and live as a farmer or something? Otherwise I believe it'd probably do you well to become acquainted with the inuit people.

    Survival kits for temps in the 20-30 degree range? Really? We folks in the northwoods of Wisconsin are usually walking around in shorts with any temps above 0. Of course, we have an extra layer of body fat from our delicious beer, brats and cheese. Oh. And our Green Bay Packers are certainly producing some extra heat lately. Stay warm, Houston! ;)
