emergency food supplies Is this unhealthy emergency dog food?
My dog ran out of food, money is not the issue, transportation is. We feed her an all natural dog food supplied by the vet. My parents are at work & told me to feed her, boiled chicken, brown rice, with carrots (no added flavors, seasonings, or salt) until they come back from work at 9:00. Is this unhealthy for her to eat? I saw Victoria Stilwell from "It's Me or the Dog" recommend this to a dog owner on her show lol. BTW I'm 17.
Lol sorry it's in the Cat section, my bad.
Vets actually recommend chicken and rice when a dog is having a sensitive stomach or digestive issue. It is very good for the dog as are the carrots, which are found in some natural dog foods. Sometimes to natural foods, certain vitamins are added, but your dog could live on this for a while before showing any nutritional deficiencies. Your parents know what they are doing, Go ahead. Dogs do not need the seasonings and not only do they like it without the salt, i think the added salt would be bad for them.
disaster preparedness kits Drinking alcohol (vodka?) for medical purposes?
I do not drink and know nothing about liquor or alcohol, but I was considering disaster preparedness.
Would it be wise to put a bottle of alcohol in the disaster kit? If so, what kind would be best?
Don't liquors last forever if unopened?
Can you mix alcohol with water to make the water drinkable?
I was thinking as they do movies....someone is hurt and they use scotch to disinfect a wound or something like that....
Vodka can be used to cleanse wounds, but the isopropyl alcohol that you find in many first aid kits can't be consumed. The first is ethyl alcohol and the second is methyl.
It won't disinfect water.
The latest study shows that people who drink alcohol live longer than those who don't (surprise). One a day for women and two for men. Going overboard isn't healthy either.
how to prepare for earthquakes How do you prepare and write a documented essay?
I have to write a documented essay for my college english class. This is the first time that I have written this type of essay but I have written many essays in the past. When my prof explained the requirements for this essay, the format they expected didn't click with that I had in thought of at first. I've already chosen my topic, the earthquake in Haiti, and now I need help preparing and starting it. I have found some sites down for references, can anyone help me?
What kind of help do you need? As for Haiti earthquake I would start with the earthquake itself, I would say a couple lines about the fenopmenon and it's names. (Pretty interesting theme). As for the tips of essay http://www.writemypapers.org/examples-and-samples/research-paper-earthquake.html here ia the essay and this site I use while looking for the tips http://www.essay-writing-tips.com/ Good luck!
