   We've been hearing a lot of this lately, mourning the loss of so-called “objective” journalism. People don't recognize that any observer putting pen to paper influences the perception of the event as a whole. Unless you remove all adjectives as begin reporting like this “there was an earthquake in Los Angeles today. It registered 1,1 on the Richter Scale. The end.” truly objective reporting is not possible.

   Furthermore, a “just the facts” style of reporting was only necessary when we had just one news channel. Now people can get their facts from wherever they want and piece it togeher like a puzzle. It's not difficult, once media literate, to recognize pieces which are editorial and the degree to which they have revised the events. CNN, for example, still has a slight lean in favour of whichever party is in power, whereas MSNBC is moe slanted and FOX downright makes shit up. The same goes for papers like the NYTimes or the National Post.

   What really matters is to ensure that media uses proper fact checking and reliable sourcing (not the pop-science, fear mongering and reactionary social reporting that often dominates the nightly news); after that, it's up to us to see through the writer's bias and react, form our own assumptions, and write ourselves….    could it have been that there were two angels in all 3 books,1 angel outside in Matt also 1 inside in Mark then the two converged and appeared together in Luke
