Last time, much more male Doctors were available there than female Doctors, but on all TV reports, we ONLY saw female doctors show up in interview, how come????

there has a been a quite a few earthquakes in california and in the SF bay area. sooner or later a big one is going to hit. my question is what should i get in order to make sure me and my family survive for a few days until help arrives. what type of food i should, what kind of first aid should i include, what type of container i should get etc. where are some places in the bay area that i could get to survive for like a week without breaking the bank? thanks
