earthquake article

Where might I find a newspaper article on an earthquake?
I have to write one for school and I'd like to look at another article for reference and to get an idea how I might go about writing it. Could someone give me a link to a newspaper article that was written about an earthquake, preferably a fairly powerful one?
Bill, I tried some search engines and I couldn't get what I wanted to come up...
Here are a few articles for you:

Rare Earthquake Hits Haiti
Earthquake Richter scale estimates. Why so different from country to country?
Here is a quote from an article regarding the quake in Italy (L'Aquilla).
"The U.S. Geological Survey said the big quake was magnitude 6.3, but Italy's National Institute of Geophysics put it at 5.8 and more than a dozen aftershocks followed."
I know that the Richter scale is logarithmic, so this difference is actually substantial. Do estimates normally vary this much?
Are you saying that it is different because one measurement was made on the N. American plate and the other made on the European plate?
The Richter scale is the measure of the energy released from the origin point called focus. Mr. Charles Richter found a method by knowing the distance of seismic recording station and the maximum amplitude recorded can be used to estimate the Richter scale. There are several factors deciding the data’s collected by various seismic stations. There are several scales within Richter scale like Ms,Mb,Mw using various methods. According the circumstances different methods gives fairly correct result. The geological condition of the places through which the seismic wave travels gives different data’s. Therefore there are possibilities of giving different measurement from different stations. But theoretically it should not differ. The correct result can be decided after averaging the results obtained from more number of stations. That is why even the USGS gives first one measurement and again after it will be revised by seismologist’s .The Boxing Day earthquake that created the Tsunami was first reported by our meteorological department as 7.6 in Richter scale. After few hours it was reported by USGS as 8.7 .After 3 months it was reported as 9.3. But with the use of my simple earthquake alarm I have cautioned our local T.V.Stations as "I have sensed very big earthquake which I never heard in the history of earthquake and I have also cautioned them about possible Tsunami attack.” Instead of appreciation I was only criticized for my dedicated service of designing the life saving equipments that proved its capability on the day of Tsunami.
See the chart for energy release.

101 trillion ton. Equal to the energy our earth gets from sun for one day.

Haiti has problems from all sides; far more than their share of natural disasters, corrupt government and gangs who have taken over, then you have the kidnappers, corrupt police and a people who are intimidated into silence. rapes, mutilations, murders are rampant everywhere and no one is safe, from babies to elderly, it is a country in chaos and anarchy reigns supreme; hopefully all this aid from all over the world will set some semblance of order eventually and will become permanent, if any country needs a break, it is Haiti, the most beleaguered country in the world.
This is like that “Are all of our bridges going to collapse?” alarmist reports that came out after the bridge in Minnesota collapsed. Or the “Are we do for a volcanic eruption?” across the US after Mt. St. Helens erupted. Or the “Are we due for a big earthquake?” articles and news segments after the SF earthquake in 1989. Jeez, media, if we spent all our time worrying about things like this, we wouldn’t have time to live.
