The U.S. Geological Survey says the quake had a preliminary magnitude of 6.0.

The USGS says it hit Monday morning about 60 miles (97 kilometers) southwest of Guatemala City, where it was felt by many residents. There were reports of shaking in the Guatemalan countryside and in El Salvador as well.

It depends on how populated the immediate area that is affected. If the area is not heavily populated and is scarce in terms of individuals who live in the area, then its likely you won't hear of many reports. The thing about Haiti is there were many more individuals who lived in the region. The population was amongst the millions. So naturally there were more affected but, less population, less injuries. It also depends on where or how isolated the area affected is. If it was in an isolated area, then minimal damage would be found.
