When does The God intervene in changing the processes of an earthquake when He wants to punish/ test humans?
According to scientific thinking, a volcano erupts or an earthquake occurs due to innumerable number of activities taking place round their centers at quantum levels, atomic levels, molecular levels and at higher levels; and known and unknown other forces working on them like the force of gravity; all working together. If God intervenes in these events to punish the human beings or to test the human beings, there should be an observable point in time in these activities that could be experienced scientifically.
Here's the flaw in your logic: you're assuming that we would notice.
We wouldn't.
Can scientists predict when, exactly, the next earthquake will hit California? Of course not. So God could modify the earthquake to occur now, or a year from now, or twenty years from now, and we wouldn't notice any difference at all.
Also, the actual earthquake is less important than the damage it causes. God could also act by encouraging people to prepare for catastrophe so as to minimize damage. If God told you to prepare for an earthquake, would you be able to scientifically measure that?

As much as I sympathize with the Snyder family, and pretty much abhor the teachings and actions of the Westboro Baptist Church, I have to agree with you on this particular matter.This of course doesn’t preclude my wish that God Himself might come down and slap the (literally) Holy crap out of each and everyone of the protesting baptists until they land back in their own church, have an odd earthquake center itself right underneath and swallow them them all up… I’m just saying.
