Physics Quesions URGENT PLEASE HELP!!?

I have some questions i need help answering urgently!

I have until the end of this lunchtime! (1 hour)

1. A ball is pushed off the end of a laboratory bench 0.8m high. How long will it take to fall?

2. If the ball hits the floor 2.0m from the bench, calculate the speed that it left the bench/

3. An aeroplane flying horizontally at speed of 150 m/s at a height of 500m drops emergency supplies to a remote village in an earthquake. How long does it take to reach the ground?

4. How far from the village must the pilot release the package in order to hit the target?

5. A bullet fired horizontally at a target 100m away at a speed of 200m/s. How far will the bullet have fallen when it hits the target.

If you can help me i would be really appreciative. I will get a detention otherwise :(

Thanks

Air resistance has been neglected throughout.
1. A ball is pushed off the end of a laboratory bench 0.8m high. How long will it take to fall?
t = sq rt[(2*0.8)/9.8] = 0.4 s

2. If the ball hits the floor 2.0m from the bench, calculate the speed that it left the bench/
Speed = 2.0/0.4 = 4.95 m/s [Considering this part of question 1]

3. An aeroplane flying horizontally at speed of 150 m/s at a height of 500m drops emergency supplies to a remote village in an earthquake. How long does it take to reach the ground?
t = sq rt[(2*500)/9.8] = 10.1 s.

4. How far from the village must the pilot release the package in order to hit the target?
Pilot should release the packets150*10.1 = 1.515 km earlier from the village

5. A bullet fired horizontally at a target 100m away at a speed of 200m/s. How far will the bullet have fallen when it hits the target.

The bullet will go down by 0.5*9.8*(100/200)^2 = 1.225 m

    Well since we live in south MS I should be wanting the 2 Person Fire, Flood & Earthquake Emergency Kit but my heart says I’d LOVE a Cansolidator! The BIG one! Like Pantry Heaven!

    Dear Kath,Funny, i could not resist and bought one of those rulers…I just bought also the traditional one, as what i spend on ruler i can not spend on chalk agin… honestly, i think the roller chalk is nice but my grandmother could do everything with a traditional, triangle chalk, my mother use one and so for sure, the little, brittle chalk is good enough for me.the curtain is actually more for my passion. photographing. so to cover the walls i am sewing a curtain of 6.5 meters x 2.25 meters.it’s not difficult but timeconsuming. and i learn to change bobbins without thinking anymore.actually I am a ‘practical’ sewer. I sew a lot for the church. from simple dresses for performing up to whatever we need if we do a drama. usually a combination of wood, plastic pipes, fabrics and dresses or scarfs, vails and and and.actually i use my sewing machine maybe 2 to 3 times a week for 2 up to 6 hours. so for now i am totally happy with the basic Singer.By the way, at the street market in Kwun Tong there is a little booth with two old ladies. they sell all kind of buttoms, chalks, needles and so on. so if someone lives in Sai Kung, there is no need to go all the way to SSP. Emergency supply is closer home. sometimes improvising is good and saves money too.yoursRoy
