Do Earthquake Faults Take time to Rupture Again once it Ruptured in the Pass?

i live in close to a Fault Line that is called the White Wolf Fault in California
the last time it ruptured was in 1952, it created a 7.5 Earthquake.

i need to know if Faults take time to Rupture again or will it rupture again soon
it seems that large earthquakes are increasing and i want to get prepared
i meant to say PASSED in the title not PASS

Stresses build up as one body of rock tries to move past another body of rock. This boundary is refered to as a fault. The fault holds still until it can not hold back any longer and then it moves and produces an earthquake and the rocks move. The process then repeats.
How long between the movements depends on a lot of things from rock type to speed of stress build-up to direction of movements to the other faults associated with the main fault.

Earthquake Country LA Chapter 1 Introduction

What Kinds of Earthquake Faults Are There and Some Info. About Them?

Well a earthquake fault might most likely mean a transform boundary. There's a big one in California its the San Andrea's Fault. As im sure you know at a transform boundary two plates slide past eachother then release S waves(seismic wave) and P waves (primary wave) I believe. That is how you feel the earthquake. Although other boundarys can have earthquakes to but transform is most common.

Go to google and research transform boundarys in the world and you can find some faults around the world or do it for earthquake faults.

I have been to GPU meetings at the Planning Commission and heard the developers whining that they can't build affordable housing unless there are less regulations. Right here on some of the most potent earthquake faults in the U.S. Private property rights, doncha know. Gotta be able to make a killing.

“asian countries have tons of subways (undergorund/tube) and stuff… CA cant. we get tons of earthquakes from the faults. thus it makes it dangerous to have those” Japan has a very good rail network, under or above ground, they too lie onearthquake faults like California. If Japan can do it, so can California. Californians mustrally together to raise the State’s GDP level to pre-economic meltdown. Bring back the magic, raise educational and living standards, de-glorify substance abuse by not reporting on celebrity digressions, place more emphasis on achievements of the ordinary citizenry
