how is the damage of an earthquake different from an tornado?
I need help on my project badly! Please help me! If you can give my more info of earthquakes that would be great!
an earth quake usually damages by ground. it rumbles from the ground and causes cracks and makes buildings fall over from the extreme force it causes.
tornado's are caused by sky rather than ground like earth quakes.
its winds is whats causes most damaged. the strong wind force inside it tears buildings apart. once your inside a tornado your gonna go for a ride. and the debree it carries can also cause damage. like if it was carrying a truck and it smashed into a house.
so basically tornado's damage from wind and come from the sky.
and earth quakes cause damage by extreme force and are caused by ground.
that the difference pretty much. hope that bit of info helped =)

Begin with the Federal Emergency Management Agency. Even if you aren't from the U.S. it has excellent information.
Then to localize your information talk to emergency management personal in your area. Usually police, firefighters and medical responders can help. If you live in a big enough place, there should be some sort of local director for emergency management.
