I'm stuck on this question in my economics homework can anyone please help?
Thanks, Nicole

Suppose there is an earthquake that destroys several corn canneries. Which of the following would not be a direct result of this event?

A. Sellers would decrease their ability to produce and sell as much as before at each relevant price.
B. The supply would decrease.
C. Buyers would not be willing to buy as much as before at each relevant price.
D. The equilibrium price would rise.

I would go with C, because buyers are still going to want to buy corn. The bad part is that the price of corn will skyrocket due to the low supply and high demand.

What do women in earthquake stricken Haiti do for hygiene?

What do women like the ones in Haiti do for personal hygiene like when they get their periods? There are no resources to speak of, how do they cope? Are those supplies being provided for the women?

Let us all hope and pray they are at the least being provided some sort of portable access to water and personal hygiene products. The human spirit is capable of enduring a great deal. It is horrible that anyone should suffer the way these individuals are suffering.
