   Hi Lisa,

   Along the same lines, this week futurist Jamias Cascio wrote about elements of resiliency in the face of the predictable and unpredictable. While he uses earthquake survival as a specific example, his ideas are generalizable, and overlap with your observations as well as with features of connectivism… and might even apply to learning in a connective world:-)

   very nice, im going camping next week with some friends in pepper sauce canyon, and were seeing how well we survive, so im putting together a survival kit. youve given me some good ideas, thank you! keep up the work!

   I grew up in the COUNTRY in Mississippi & Arkansas. man I would LOVE to get back to a place like THAT!!! So COOL Don

   not living in an earthquake zone means that most apartment buildings are much taller, thus packing more and bigger apartments into the same spaceSouth Korea is an earthquake zone. Its earthquakes are less frequent and on average of considerably lower magnitude than neighboring Japan, whose earthquakes are also felt in South Korea, but it is nevertheless an earthquake zone. The biggest are usually in the 4- or 5-point range on the Richter scale.

   Earthquakes are considered in construction, but like Kobe in 1995, I fear that if an unusually large earthquake (say 6.0 or higher) were to occur, some buildings would be rendered useless, even if they don't topple onto their residents (Korea's ubiquitous use of ferro-concrete construction bodes well for earthquake survival).

   Not that any of this has to do with sociology, and your point about how it affects housing is apt.]]>

   RT Am thinking keeping my earthquake survival gear in Amazon wish list and then next day-ing them after the “big one” is not a viable strategy.

   Dear All,

   I have some questions about psychology:

   (1) Why do we enjoy flying “Flight Simulator”?

   (2) Why do we like to fly different models of fighters representing different countries?

   (3) Why do players want to have “Dog Fight” instead of smooth flying in a 747?

   (4) If Flight Simulator allows us to choose your desired jet engines and to modify aeroplanes, will this be fun for players?

   I bought one of these vergo stoves after this video great peace of equipment worth every dime ( REI is offering no shipping fees in December ) great wind screen for tangea stove does discolor I have tried a lot of different thing and this vargo titanium stove is a lot better setup than a hobo can contraption
   at least anything I have made and it is collapsable
