Earthquakes in LEDCs?

Why do earthquakes cause more damage in LEDCs? I have already got
The buildings aren't well constructed and they don't have strict building codes.
They aren't as well educated and they don't have an emergency action plan.
They have few emergency facilities and so have to rely on MEDCs for aid which can take up to 3 days which reduces the survival rate.

Are these right and please tell me anymore that you know!
LEDCs are less economically developed countries i.e poor countries. Can you please answer simply and with less big words thanks!

In LEDCs the building are poorly constructed and as you say they don't have strict building codes. Another thing is they often can not afford to build with aseismic* designs like MEDCs, these designs would mean homes and offices would be safer in the event of an earthquake. Buildings are often made of concrete meaning more people are killed when the buildings collapse, in japan the buildings are light, made of wood and paper and can collapse without too much damage.
Education does play a role, e.g. sheltering under door ways or sturdy tables in the event of an earthquake.
They often don't have emergency plans in place or they have been affected by the earthquake. One of the biggest problems for LEDCs are the secondary hazards e.g lack of food, clean water, fires and disease that often kill a lot more people.

* Aseismic designs have cross bracing, counter weights and shock absorbers in built in to a building that counteract the earthquakes effects on buildings and help prevent them from collapsing.

The G-20 was held for the sole purpose of testing riot control in a setting with a high level of aggression. Who wouldn't get pissed off because billions were spent for a temporary meeting of dignitaries that might not even have been there?
