what causes earthquakes and forest fires?
please be specific if you can i am using this Information in an essay and i need to know as much as i can. if you do not know much please put down what you can. thank you
Well i doesn't know the forest fire but i know about Earthquakes.The reason that cause Earthquake is plat tectonic which mean the theory that propose that Earth's outer shell consists of individual plates the interact in various ways and thereby produce earthquakes,volcano,mountain. and the crust itself. Here example, do you ever seem our Earth's 250 million year ago that called Pangaea that the land all close together and now we all separate out now and individual country. Earthquake slide apart. The three type of boundaries is Divergent when two plate move apart, Convergent when two plate move together. and transform fault when two plate move side way.Where I live California,L,A we have San Andreas Fault and it transform fault.In the future L.A is next block to San Fransisco. i hope it help

logn before people understood plate tectonics and the structure of the earth they experienced earthquakes. they tried to explain what caused them, •but why?
•people belived there actions could cause earthquakes cause earthquakes how might they try to prevent earthquakes,. what might they think if an earthquake did occur?
•Aristotle identified earthquakes as a natural phenomenon. yet hundreds of years lator the royal society of england related earthquakes to human behavior. why do you think the society did not relate earthquakes to natural phenomena?

People try, and have tried, to explain the causes of earthquakes so that they may either try to avoid them by moving away from a dangerous location, or try to predict when and where an earthquake might occur so as to be prepared for the consequential disruption to their everyday lives.
Where on earth did you get that story about the Royal Society relating earthquakes to human behavior? It seems highly unlikely because by the time of the formation of the Royal Society in 1660 the origins of some types of earthquakes were fairly well understood.
