HAIR DISASTER/EMERGENCY! WHAT CAN I DO TO FIX IT?
You know the story, yeah I had naturally brown hair and dyed it brown. Now I tried to dye it back blonde and you probably know what happened.. It turned orange-ish yellow. Well, I tried to fix that by buying a home stripping kit but all that did was make it a little bit lighter. It is still yellow with a lot of orange. What can I do to fix it? Do I have to dye it brown again? Is that the only way to cover up my mistake? Or can I dye it a medium/dark blonde? I heard that if I do an ash color it can turn my hair green! So should I go for an ash color or a golden color? Can I dye it from a box or is it a MUST to go to a professional? I know it is going to fry my hair I'm prepared for that though. Also, what do you recommend as the best home dye?
You probably should go to a salon. Here is the thing with that, If you tell them what you just wrote here, they may either not dye your hair or they are gonna give you an uber hard time. You CAN dye your hair a darker blonde. To counteract the orange, use a Beige Blonde. The Violet in the Beige blonde color will counteract the orange making your hair a neutral color again. If you use a golden blonde, your hair will look brassier. Look at the Color Wheel.

This color opposite of the one you are trying to get rid of counteracts it. They teach that in hair school. I always liked Feria (before I became a professional), but I hear Garnia is the good one now. As long as it says Beige or Cool on it you should be good. Deep condition your hair every other day if it gets dry and no matter what color it is, if it starts falling out, wash the dye out immediately.
