Alternatives for Ipecac syrup?
I know about people abusing it and why they no longer sell it. It's a shame that you can't buy just one bottle. I don't need a large supply.
The reason why I'm looking for something that also induces vomiting (or any other means of quickly detoxifying and disposing of poison) is to keep on hand in case of accidental poisoning.
I worry because one of the people in my household has a phobia of bugs and sprays on a regular basis. And even then there's food, alcohol, drug, etc. poisoning to worry about.
I found a first aid kit that sells it but I don't want to pay $200 for only one of the items needed.
I live in a congested area. Even if I go to a pay hospital emergency room, it could take hours before they get to me.
Also, if you know where I can get some ipecac in the U.S., that would be extremely helpful.
What are you talking about not available? I just did a google for buying it. $2-4 a bottle.
