Is it legal for me to have an axe in my car?


I keep it under the seat in case of an emergency, along with a med kit and snow chains. My friend said that it could be considered a concealed weapon. Is it? I thought that was only guns.
Also, I live in California.

I do not know of any CA law which would be violated by having a concealed axe in a vehicle.
