emergency medical supply Question about Chilean miners trapped?
I haven't really been keeping up with the news for a while and I'm just now hearing about the trapped Chilean miners and the rescue efforts.. my question is how can they send supplies, beds, food, etc. down tubes and not rescue the miners? I'm just kind of confused, if someone could explain that to me it'd be great, thanks.
"Emergency supplies and fresh water were sent down the borehole to the miners after they had survived on rations for 17 days.
Since then, rescuers have sent food and medical supplies, specialist clothing, camp beds and other equipment down the borehole to make the miners' lives more comfortable."
I'm guessing things can be "shrink wrapped" Kinda made pretty small and sent down. Maybe like airbeds, and have you seen those blanket bags that you suck the air out of with a vacuum cleaner until they are real flat. Maybe the food is dried packs and small tins, I dunno, I guess the bore hole must be big enough for a bottle of water...
I bought a paramedic medical supply kit and bought extras for it. I also have a few patterns packed in bug out kit to make clothing/diapers etc as needed. Bought several colapseable water containers
