Germany's Natural Disaster History?

I have a project and I must include the following:
-natural disasters
*earthquakes
*floods
*hurricanes
*volcanoes
*tsunamis
*mud slides
*wild fires
*and so forth

I must have a good bit of natural disasters.. I also have to have as much detail as possible.
Detail must include: the event its self, and the impact on the land and people.

I also need pictures. As much as possible.

I have to give a 3-5 minutes presentation, so details are nice.
Not tooo many but you get my point.
If you can give me websites too that would be great!
I also need this before the end of the day... cause I have to finish putting this on notecards and a poster and practice talking about it by the end of the day... so yeah.
thank you but i still need more than just floods...
blizzerd?
maybe avolanch?
i cant spell but yeah..

Uhm. Should we also put out a nice little Powerpoint Presentation for you, write your notes and provide you with pictures....tape your speech for you? What happened to Google since I last visited that page? Type in "natural disasters" and "Germany" and there you go.

I don't mean to be rude, but what exactly is YOUR contribution to your own homework going to be? If you cannot use Google (and I mean that in a nice way), you have to learn how to get results quickly and effectively as soon as possible.

This is not going to be the only research homework that you are going to have to do during your time at school, things like these come up over and over again and you cannot always rely on others to do your work for you.

To make it easy for a start:

*earthquakes: do not occur in Germany
*floods: see other answerers (great details!!)
*hurricanes: do not occur in Germany.
*volcanoes: do not exist in Germany.
*tsunamis: do not occur in Germany (Google for a definition of "tsunami", please).
*mud slides: happen rarely and so far never caused much trouble.
*wild fires: happen very rarely and so far never caused much trouble.

Sorry. We're in the heart of Europe and thus comparatively "safe".

Have you ever survived a natural disaster?

Have you ever been in a hurricane, tornado, earthquake or other natural disaster? What and where was it? How did you feel? Did it leave you traumatized and with fears? I've gone through a big hurricane, a major tornado and felt the tremors of a few small earthquakes.

I live in Florida so I see Hurricanes all the time. The one that most sticks in my mind was Andrew in 1992 mainly because I was only 7 and we were also on our way to move back to Tampa FL from Knoxville TN.. Why they decided to continue on the move I don't know or remember? We were locked up in a hotel room for 3 days, after the weather cleared and we continued on our way we saw all of the damage that was near the roads, lots of down trees and such. One sight that sticks in my head was a double wide trailer that was split in half with no walls. That was a scary sight for a 7 year old, but I was FAR from traumatized I love hurricanes, only because of the weather it's cool and windy I love it. My favorite thing to do is open all the windows and just sit and enjoy the circulation and listen to my wind chimes.

You can count me among the 6% who think the government has mishandled this by badly overreacting. No more than one in sixteen, apparently, find it distasteful to watch an organisation so blatantly take advantage of a natural disaster to grab gobs more power for itself.

*2 Timothy 3:1-5,7 1"This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. 2For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents,
unthankful, unholy, 3Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, 4Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God".

    Sound familiar?

To me that sounds like ancient Rome.

To the rest of what you said……. I don't care.
