What would you do? Take this job or keep that one?
I'll try to be brief. I have a job,wet, outdoor work, pays okay, boss is nice enough, I find the work okay. I was offered another job today,
to start monday. 1 third better pay, extended medical/dental, indoor work, nice boss, paid travel time, In short, a better job.
Here's my dilema= I don't have time to give the other guy much notice, which I like to do. I feel badly to let him down, but it's a much better opportunity. Any suggestions or opinions welcome.
Well just give him as much notice as you can. Just remember,if a place goes to lay you off or close or what ever that they usually don't give a notice to you. So I wouldn't hesitate to go for the job that has more pay,is inside & has good benefits for you. It's not like you need the old job for a reference,you already have a new job. Think of it this way,when the outside job ends,the boss would just tell you you are laid off,with no notice. So don't feel as if you are letting him down in any way. You are not. Go for the new job!
