What Should The Punishment Be For Louts That Attack Emergency Services Personnel?
Day after day we hear about fire crews and ambulance drivers coming under attack from yobs when they attend incidents, or deliberately staged hoax calls, and doctors and nurses being violently attacked in hosptials and A&E. What would be a fair punishment for anyone caught taking part in these attacks? Are we too soft?
these people are pathetic.
they moan and groan about the emergency services and "The Establishment" complain about their civil rights, use violence, aggression, foul language as often as buttering toast and yet they are the first ones to demand help and support when they are in trouble.
i can understand (although i don't agree ) that some people find the police confrontational and i know that the police see violence every day, but to attack ANYONE working in the public sector, who is there to defend, support, rescue and help the general public is cowardly.
as for attacking the ambulance crews, nurses and doctors......well that has got to be the most outrageously stupid, ignorant, pathetically moronic act ever.
it will never happen, as usual the "rights"(?????) of these people are seen as important(??) but if i had my way, the persistent offenders would be refused medical treatment or support from any emergency worker unless they were dying.
