survival food supplies
does anyone have a packing list of food and supplies for a wagon train trip - one year?
1800's - Wagon Masters and Team members would inspect the Travelers Invoices and the load. I know a years supply of staples were Required - certain livestock etc - tools and building equipment -and of course some recommendations for personal items . .
I know there used to be a wagon train here on the west coast during the summer month - I saw them - but that was a few years back
Any help - - even the Mormon Survival lists - - book titles - - web sites - - it might also include plans for the wagons - -Amish folklore - facts - etc

If tough times only require you put away food for a month then I think everybody has thta covered.
Most people have more than a months supply of food.
In the case of not being able to buy anything for a month the only thing I'd buy additionally are canned fruits and canned vegetables, or frozen fruits and vegetables if i have the freezer space since I would not be able to get those fresh.
For those who don't bake bread, a few in the freezer may come in handy.
If you don't have enough supplies in your house for a month, I'd suggest you get busy. If you are talking survival for a year then we've got to plan
