Is there food & supplies stocked along the way on Mount Everest?
I wonder if they leave food, flares, a GPS tracking thing,..& survival supplies
stocked & brightly marked at different spots along the way for others to come in the future,.....
just in case they're stuck & need,...say,..insulin,....
or matches to light a fire to roast some weinies or somethin'.

My money is on magnetic pole reversal. While, at first, only compasses and stuff that relies directly on the Earth’s magnetic field will be screwed up, the whole process takes somewhere between a few years and a few decades. In that process, the field weakens, eventually down to zero, before it starts growing back out the other way. During this weak time, a significant portion of our protection against cosmic radiation will be diminished. Oh, that’s not so bad, really. Stay inside more, don’t get tans, skin cancer rates go up a little bit, electronics that are cheaply or not at all shielded might experience some issues. But not world ending. Well, except crops that can no longer grow outside. Outdoor surface farming will pretty much grind to a halt, abruptly cutting off global food supply.
